So i ordered a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50mm from SWFA along with the rings/sunshade, and a Base.
The base is for my dads rifle, but its on back order. The payment hasnt gone through on the credit card, and the status on the order is waiting to ship. My question is, does SWFA hold the order until everything is filled? Because the base can wait, but id love to have my scope in this coming week. I would call SWFA, but they're closed atm, and im not a very patient person.

They hold the order until everything is in then ship it so if you want them to ship the scope right away you need to contact them and tell them but it will likely cost you more in shipping to do so. I am in the same situation I have a scope waiting there until a ringmount comes in. Sorry but that is a situation where you dont get much feedback and if you want the scope now you need to pursue it either call them or send a PM or somehow try to contact someone who works there probably CFII.

Calling them is probably your best bet. Most the time they do hold the order to keep shipping costs to a minimum but are known for outstanding customer service. But honestly they can't serve you if you don't communicate your wishes to them personally.

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

I trust them, as ive dealt with them before and everything went perfect. But like i said im impatient and have been waiting ever since i got my rifle, then a job to save up money for a scope. Im the kind of person that checks the tracking number on a package every day lol.

There have even been some folks who got scopes delivered who claimed that they were never delivered ( even though UPS had a receipt...) and they wound up getting a second scope.......
.......it takes all kinds, I guess....
Yours will be along shortly........

I wish others would follow SWFA's lead, one gripe I have with MidwayUSA is they will ship a partial order and then ship the rest a few days later costing me additional shipping charges.

Sam I would call them and get a refund. You shouldn't be held responsible for them choosing to ship it separately.

Not to hijack this thread, I'll finish by saying that after my last order I participated in their CS survey and mentioned that I like their prices and great customer service but I complained about that practice. They probably think they are doing you a favor by getting things they have in stock out quickly but it adds to the bottom line. Sam Edited by SamC - December/02/2010 at 00:55 |
