What is the best way to remove a scratch on a scope? I've been told a permanent marker and been told paint. It's a Swarovski AV, so I want the best. Paint seems like it wouldn't match at all to the finish, but I guess it'd cover....
Any ideas...

I don't think you'll ever get it perfect, how bad a scratch is it?

That's not a scratch, it's a character mark.

I just found something that works excellent - black car wax. It works great, covered the scratch well, and you rub off all the remaining excess.

Good find! Black shoe polish also is suggested.

With every scratch comes a story. I guess if it were a "this is where i dropped my gun out of the blind before taking a shot on a 180-class deer," I too would want to cover the scratch.
If it''s a better story, leave the scratch, |
