Hey guys Im in need of a new Optic preferably that will work in front of a PVS-14 Night Enforcer. The 1-4 will work fine so Im kind of heading that direction.Rifle is a custom build with a full length DD rail and 16" barrel.I have an Eotech XPS3 already on my scar and it works fine with the XPS and PVS-14 but I want something that can kind of do it all.
I have been looking at the optics below input would be appreciated. Leupold MK4 1-.5-5 Illum MR2C reticle Trijicon Accupoint 1-4 IOR Valdada 1.1-4x26 ACOG TA33G-H |

Of your list I like the Trijicon the best.

Trijicon all the way out of your list. I have that scope and really like it. I had the 3x Acog and traded it for the Accupoint. The FOV on the 3x is pretty small and I just could not get used to it.
The Leupold is way over priced. And the IOR while it will have slightly better glass than the Trijicon the illumination really sucks. I have had 4 or 5 different IORs with ill reticules and none of them look good. THey are just to bright even on the lowest power and create a huge red haze inside the entire scope at night. On some of the newer models they have supposedly fixed the problems, but that scope still uses the old system. Trijicon is coming out with something new next year. Personally I am hoping it is an ACOG that can be used on either 1x or 4x. The powers inbetween are really kind of worthless IMO so an 1 and 4x ACOG would be the bomb. May want to wait and see what they come up with. Another one to check out is the new SWFA SS 1-4x that will be out soon. Initial testing has been very good. |

I agree on waiting for the release of the 1-4 SWFA offering ... Im waiting on that myself. As for Trijicon ... I have a 2.5-10 Accupoint and I am impressed with the glass on it. Im hoping Trijicon enters the FFP game this year. Of the optics on your list the Trijicon is the best option ... however I would wait for the SWFA if a 1-4 is what your after.

That was always my concern with the Accupoint as well. But if you zero at 200 yards with a 55 grain .223 then you have a point blank range out to about 230 that would allow you pretty consistant hits. But if you plan on shooting beyond that then something else may be a better choice.

Not on your list but I've mounted this Leatherwood on my LMT 223 and could not be happier. I highly recommend it.
