I just pulled the trigger on the 2x7, thanks Derek, so my K31 sporter ought to be a happy camper upon install.
Viper this, Viper that......you know you guys are at fault on me spending more money on another scope right?

It does with mine, she even brought me her MC so I can charge this new VV buy. A wife will understand her man's shooting needs if the needs are explained properly .

I must not know how to explain it properly, cause I tried blaming it on SVT and PYRO... and it didnt fly....

That sale was hard to ignore, I also bought a Viper, mine is a 4-12x40. When my wife sees the credit card statement I'll just say that SWFA sells school supplies our son needed, if that doesn't work, I'll say her cat wasn't feeling well while she was at work and SWFA is the new Vet SamEdited by SamC - November/17/2010 at 01:28 |

That is one good looking German Shepherd Sam! BTW "......SWFA is also a high tech org that develops virtual communications for police and military dogs and ours was hand picked as a test candidate, can't say much more on this because it's in the black world realm but if he makes the final cut the whole family will be famous....." How do you like your 4x12? Thought about getting it but not sure I can fit the 40mm on my K31. |

I perceive lots of whining and groveling were involved.
That or she got to spend multiple times that amount on instant comsumeables!

budperm, no groveling and such occur in our household. All it took was precise understandings before I said "I do", and 20 years later the understandings still hold strong. I can't quite comprehend why men require permission from their spouses to buy what they want, when they want it. After all they are our spouses not our mamas and as long as we don't take away from the household, and the family, what rightfully belongs to them, we grown men are entitled to behave like grown men not children requiring permission to buy a toy. Sorry for the philosophical rant, to each his own I guess.

So your saying you beat your wife even before you married her.
Me I drove the moving van for mine when she decided she needed to go find herself.... She promptly got lost and I was ablr to rasie my two kids in peace!

Beating serves absolutely no good purpose for anyone. If it gets to that all’s lost so one should hang it up, as you did. I am sorry to hear of your travails but all's well that ends well, I guess. So, back to my Viper, the brown truck ought to be here tomorrow, I'll post pics of its fit to the rifle when I complete the install. |

Regarding my Viper, I haven't mounted it for a test run yet but so far I really like the reticle, all controls seem smooth, glass is bright and over all quality seems way above the price point. I'll report back when I ring it out.

Sorry one more hi-jack of this thread...cannot resist this one:
The cowboy married his sweetheart and then took her back to his ranch on a buggy. halfway there the horse stumbled. He reined in, got off and said to the horse..this is no 1. Little later same thing... got off and said ..this is no 2. Little later same thing. He got off and said No 3, then he drew his pistol and shot the horse. The new bride went ballistic, how can you be so cruel etc etc. He patiently waited for her to finish... then said.. this is no 1.
He went on to have a long and happy marriage.

8shots, your joke brings us exactly back to the "understanding" portion of my original email Sam, again what a great dog!! Would love to own one someday, did you have him imported? Here's my Niko, showed up as a half starved kitten 3 years ago and now he's become the master of our Double Trouble Acres, spends all week by himself waiting for us to show up on the weekends to get the requisit love and attention all creatures need. The name Niko was given to him by my wife and comes from Niki, which means victorious in Greek. He sure was because he survived the forest odds and managed to find us. He's grown to be the coolest cat around and follows me throughout the property like a dog!Hunting with his favorite human, albeit the objects of our hunts are different
Life's good!

enough teasing, I am sure you'll like your Viper. I have two myself and wish I had more. Currently have the 2-7X32 C3 I put on my Sav 111LRH 300WM and a 6.5-20X44 Mildot thats on my Sav 12BTV 223 Varmint! I had a 4-12X40 V-plex which I traded for teh 6.5-20x44 as I wanted a little more mag for my tired old eyes! All of them are built well above their current close-out price point
and I'm tickled pink with them!
Hope you enjoy yours as much!!! BTW thats was a nice side story about Niko!
8shots that Cowboy was one smart cookie!!! Even if it did cost him one perfectly good horse!

The VV has arrived and is mounted but will this set-up work?? Only way to get proper eye relief and the right cheeckweld.
I am very impressed thus far, indeed a great product for the money but the proof's in the shooting. One great thing about this set-up is that it allows me to shoot righthanded but with the left eye, which is still 20/20 in my ripe ol' age.

Philippians its written very nicely on the bottom of mine too. the parts are super nice, so as long as they assembled it right, I guess it shouldn't matter.
