Again this will be a short brief review, more will follow with pictures and more details.

I put this scope on a heavy 300 win mag because the 6.5-20 viper I had on it was to much magnification.  I like the 4-12 a lot better.  At 100yds i could see my bullet holes clearly.  It held zero fine and never gave me one hic-up.  I really like this scope.  So far this gun has had a SS10X, SS16X, Viper 6.5-20, SS 3-9, and now the Viper 4-12. The 4-12 is by far my favorite on this gun and is there to stay for sure. (this is not taking anything away from those scopes its just my personal favorite)

Pros
- Eye relief, very generous
- Crystal clear picture
- Easy adjustment and positive turret feedback
- mounting room, plenty of scope tube to use for different mounting issues one might have

Cons
- pull up zero reset, kinda feels cheap to me but it works
- I didnt' get the 4-12 the first go round Wink

more to come with pictures.

I know I should have shot it before trading the 6.5-20 for it!!! Wink

BTW I'm loving the 6.5X20 on my 223 varmint.  My older eyes need the extra mag!

I will try next time I get to the range.  I can't ever seem to get the camera to line up right to make them work well enough so I didn't try this time around.  But give me some time and I will.  The other pictures should be up later tonight.

This target was shot at 300yds as well......  I'd say the 12x on the viper in combination with the great glass is more than usable..... what about yall?
