Nice pics Drew Smile Very Nice, I liked the ones last year as well. I sure hope you get a nice Bull like last year. 425 yards across a draw was a damn fine shot with the big 300Excellent.....I hope you and your Dad both fill your tags this year, like I said before I would give my left arm to ride a horse again, cannot do it though..To bad to because we have alot of horse (No MV) trails that seem to go forever into country thats just like the scenes you took pics of..
Good Luck!Thunbs Up

Yeah, that 300 really shoots and is even better this year, but I am hoping for a closer shot.  Horses are a great way to hunt and to get where most people won't go.  Makes for good elk hunting.  I hope you can get your spike this year.  They are good eating!!

And I agree with you and Bitterroot.  Bring on the snow.  I would rather have some snow on the ground and cooler temps.  Keep the elk moving more.

that is what i used to pray for the night before season opened, a good wet snow fall to stick to their backs so they wouldnt stay put any place for long.

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?
