Figured I would share some photos of hunting so far this year. They are from various locations and days. I will add more as I go out each weekend. Hope you enjoy. (Note to Ronk if you check this thread, Sorry if I make you homesick).

Yeah, I'm thinking directly in line with that slash pile too. It's always fun to see one...but from a respectable distance.
Great pix. I'm looking forward to hunting in the south end of the Little Belts next week...not as high or spectacular, but also a neat part of MT. I always enjoy the views of the Crazies and the Castles to the south. |

Thanks for sharing. I actually like some snow on the ground, as long as it isn't to cold and windy.

Elk sure are alot easier to hunt in the snow for me, thats for sure. I will be going out this coming weekend in search of a spike (tag) only.....Thats the way the 2nd season tags work, first season tag is a draw for any bull usually...In Oregon only Im talking
Nice pics Drew Very Nice, I liked the ones last year as well. I sure hope you get a nice Bull like last year. 425 yards across a draw was a damn fine shot with the big 300.....I hope you and your Dad both fill your tags this year, like I said before I would give my left arm to ride a horse again, cannot do it though..To bad to because we have alot of horse (No MV) trails that seem to go forever into country thats just like the scenes you took pics of..
Good Luck!

You got it. I am still looking at getting a new camera. But just after the moose, I lost a u-joint so some money is going to redo all the joints in the front driveshaft. Also need new tires and an alignment. So have to do that first, then can get a decent camera so you can see the next moose better.

That is a great way to spot them. Only problem is that you have to wait till the next morning to hunt them. I saw a lot of tracks once I got past where everyone else was driving, so I may get up real early and get all the way up there before daylight this weekend and just sit and see what happens.
