Any that shoot well out if your rifle. I would look for something in the 140gr. range.

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

I always shot 150 gr. Win. Powerpoints out of mine, as they were very accurate. I only hunted whitetail with it though. I generally prefer heavier bullets anyway for elk sized critters. Personally, I would look at Win. Xp3 150 gr, or a 140 gr. Accubond. That accubond coming out at about 3100-3200 would be pretty effective. With the right shot, and good placement, any of the commercially loaded hunting bullets will do the job. My buddy just brought one down with a 7mm REM, and 140 gr. Berger VLD. Bang, flop.

I"ve shot 2 elk with my 270 win. One using a 150 grain nosler partition and the other with a 140 grain TSX. They both worked well.

I also like the 140gr. in the .270wsm, decent sectional density while still providing exceptional velocity.

I would go with a 140 or 150 grain. I really like the 140s myself.

I used 140 grain Winchester Supreme Accubonds when I had a 270 WSM. I only was hunting whitetails but they are rated for Elk. I had great luck with them !
