LRB M25 w/Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x42. Bedded and match tuned by Art Luppino and his test fire target(100 yds.) w/surplus military match and Black Hills match ammo. I can't shoot that good but I know the rifle is good to go.

No, it's a Boyd's walnut "Shaw Special", or so I was told. Made in limited quantities back in the 80's I think. The checkering was patterned off a USGI 'glass stock and laser engraved by a friend of mine. The checkering is actually little stars instead of the traditional diamond pattern. He has some other patterns but this one was the first one we developed. He can do most anything with wood or plastic if he has an image he can enter into a computer, even photographs.

Yup, it's a vortex, can't really see it in the pic but it also has his extended bolt release. SEI makes good stuff!

Oh, I concur. Those Crazy Horse rifles are awesome wicked!

My bolt gun is ready to be picked up after I had a guy thread my barrel and install a Vortex for me.
Looks similar to yours.

I remember back in the day at Paris Island we trained, lived and qualified with M-14's then just before shipping out to Viet Nam we were handed a black plastic gun. At first we thought it was a joke being issued plastic, it looked like a Mattel toy, we wanted our M-14's back! Maybe it's because it was my first military issue but since then I have always had a soft spot in my heart for that sweet shooting M-14!

The M-14 has a cool factor, that puts it in a class all by it's self.
