I'm looking at buying a used IOR 6-24-50 with 30mm tube and in the data sheet it says it only has 40 moa of adjustment now that does not seem like that is not enough and I'll definetly will have to use a tapered base to get any kind of distance  or is this a typo.   what  do you think this kind of scope is worth in good condition?

Is this your scope??

It says on the web page that it has 50 MOA, which actually means you get 25 MOA of "up".

If you really like the scope, and plan on shooting long range, then I would recommend a tapered base, Badger to be exact.

How far do you plan on shooting?

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

Yep that looks like the one I'm looking at buying but the one I'm looking at has the MP8 reticle. I wonder how old this scope is because it says LR tatical on the box? I plan on sticking it on my AR for now, but have plans to put it on a 338 lapua Wink  as soon as I finish it.

It's common knowledge that I'm not a big IOR guy, but the MP8 reticle is good to go.

The scope in question also publishes that you have 3.75 eye relief on that thing too.

Yeah right!

3" maybe....

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.
