The first batch was per the USMC SSDS contract requirements.  The contract changed a little in the middle of the road and XOTIC changed their scope specs.  The contract was later canceled and never reissued.  The USMC decided to purchase S&B scopes without re-issuing the contract.  So now XOTIC is incorporating other features and designs into their scope that other branches of the military were interested in.  I'm not sure what all is to come because they are waiting on patent attorneys to secure ideas.

I hope it's smaller than the previous one. The size of the first generation is precisely why I did not buy it. It was GIGANTIC. Just ridiculously big. See if the scope were available in 1 to 10 power with 2nd focal plane, 140 MOA of adjustment and 50 to 1000 yards of parallax adjustment I'd definitely buy it hands down. Hell I'd sell the B&L 10x I got just to get it.

Voldermortist,

Why didn't you get the Super Sniper if you were looking for all of that.

because I wanted the Bausch and Lomb 10x Tactical. More crisp knobs and much better glass. I've compared the two before. I am not a fan at all of the SS series.

Are there any upgrades available for existing XOTIC owners?

I don't have any particular gripe with mine

I just love freebies

When questions/statements are posted in public forums they prompt questions from readers of those statements.

I had a question, and got the confirming answer I expected.

anyhow, don't care to get in a fight on an internet msg board......

I'm curious whether the xotic will have a 2.5-10x version the size of the supersniper scope available next year..... I'd certainly buy one of those

I'm wondering if there is going to be a exchange/update program for the scope. for those who own previous versions of it.

Hamburger,  I think Voldermortist was banned from this forum a while ago (or at least he disappeared pretty suddenly).  I recall he was being less than civil about something, but the details escape me now.

Ah yes.

Voldermortist.....

Kosh, isn't he the pee stick that bought a XOTIC scope from SWFA, dropped it, dented the objective bell, and then cried like a baby on here AND Sniper's Hide about the scope NOT being "Tactically tough" enough??

What an idiot.

He got his ass handed to him here and over there.

He's an oxygen thief.

I still see him around over at AR15.com.....unfortunately.

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.
