So here are the results of an 8 shot group from my new .308 SPS 700 i've been yacking about for sometime. Like i mentioned earlier, it took 2,  3 shot groups to get her dialed in completely but when it was damn was she on! Was using 168 gr. Federal Sierra Match King BTHP's. Below is 8 shot group all in the red at 100 yards. Mel at Sniper Central put the rifle package together and it's safe to say i'm very impressed thus far. Can't wait to get it dialed in at longer ranges.

Don't mind the taped over shots, they were rapid fire from an earlier outing with the AR from 50 yards.

Jono, they're based out of Missoula Montana, so not sure if that's close to where you are? Hell you might be able to drive by and check them out!

It's darn good. The very outer edges blur just a little bit on higher power 12-16, but it's a very minor problem. Extremely clear for what im used to.

I think i am gonna look for one like that for a gun in need right now but i gots to test the gun first to make sure it will be accurate enough for that type of scope. I want a broad adjustment range like that scope offers.

I'd read or re-read Ilya's write up on the scope. I'm pleasantly surprised as i was concerned with the hoopla around Bushnell's CS. No tunnel vision in my scope. Parallax adjustment is spot on, glass is worth the $700+ and a bit more imo. To get that 6x erector ratio you have to pay a lot more. I'm still thinking it will be my holdover until that 5-20 comes out (Chris memo, make it no later than SHOT 2011  Wink) , but i've got nothing bad to say about it thus far.

Only negative i've found thus far is that blurring on extreme outer edges but to me that's a minor problem.

I was actually just talking with Jules about this very rifle through PM yesterday. He's looking to build something very similar. With the weather starting to warm up a little bit here in the north i'll be taking her about again real soon.

For $1700 (scope included) i honestly couldn't be any happier with this rig. It's still shooting dime sized (0.4ish) 8 shot groups at 100 yards and sub MOA out to 300. I ran it in 2 jug shoot competitions back home last summer/fall and won both meets. Shots were all unknown distances out to a long of 649 yards (had long hit of the day). By no means is $1700 cheap for most folks but i've been able to hang with a few rigs that are pushing 3K price tags. We'll see how she continues to shoot this year, but this is one that won't be leaving my possession anytime soon.

Have really been pleased with the optic as well. I'm really digging the variable range (2.5-16x Elite 6500) for the type of shooting i generally am doing. I largely bought it off the recommendation of Ilya and his write up on the opticsthoughts review page and what he describes there have been my experiences over the past year+.
