Very nice.  But first sell a kidney then write the check.

There was a savage110 a few months back for sale on another forum that had a Christenarms barrel on it.  I think Bigdaddy tried to buy it but never went through.  Guy only wanted like $500 for it.

Remington ran a few some years ago that had a carbon fiber wrapped barrel but it was only a limited run.  they where basically the PSS rebarrel and the barrel chanel bored out to accomidate the 1" round tube.  Back in college there was a shop that had one in 223 and 308, I was at school for 4 years and they had them in when i started and the same ones where still there when i graduated.

The technology isn't new but for some reason it hasn't caught on.

They are only about 30 miles from where I live.

I was talking to a machinist about them one day.  He said what they do it take a barrel that is already done and them put it in a lathe and machine it down til it is very thin.  THen they apply the carbon fiber to it.  He claimed that doing that ruins the perfect straightness of the air gauged barrel.

So in the end they are much lighter, but they very seldom shoot as good as a regular barrel as the barrel is not as straight.  At least that was his claim.
