Have a friend who recently went Elk hunting close to Craig Colorado (wish it had been me dammit!).  Anyway he only has a 270 which I told him would be adequate but he wanted to borrow one of my guns shooting a heavier bullet.  I let him use my loaner - a Steyr 30-06 shooting a 200 gr Accubond in front of a stiff load of RL17 at 2725 fps.  He got his chance and shot a bull at 135 yards.  Bullet went in behind the front shoulder, hit a rib and was sticking shank out on the other side.  DRT

Can't fault that bullet performance!

2700 is pretty good for a 200 gr out of an -06.  Great performance though.
