My Vortex Viper 2-7x32 just arrived today. I ran home at lunch and played with it. I even put it on my rifle. What a great scope for the money. Christmas came early this year. I just want to thank everyone that has been recommending this scope and SWFA for getting it out so quickly. I had a vari x II that I bought for about the same price and its no where the quality and clarity. I wish I had the money to buy a few more just to hold back for future projects.

Glad you are happy with it. I just don't like the 2-7 concept. Thought long and hard of getting one, but just thought 2.5-10, if I am looking for something low powered, is much more suitable for me. Not downing your choice at all... many like the 2-7, I just can't see the piont in it.
Let us know how it works out for you. I am interested.

I have always liked the idea of the 2.5-10. Its seems like the perfect all around magnification range. I have one on a rem 700 in 300 win mag. The 2-7's are lighter and shorter, ie more compact, unless of course you compare it to the sightron compact 2.5-10 which does not have as good of glass. I was actually considering one of those but this was $100 cheaper and the glass was a little better. I put it on a savage 110 in 30-06 which is considerably lighter than my 700. It balances with the 110 perfectly.
