Koshkin's review of low priced binoculars had me thinking about buying a Leupold Yosemite in 6x30 for my sons b-day
A little searching around shows that they sure look like the Barska Crossover model
Same approximate feaures, price, lifetime warranty, etc
Comments?

If Barska quality is now equal to Leupold quality that would certainly be a 'first', and I'm sure that we would all be quite amazed.

They sure look the same!!! But the magnification is different between them. Leupold 6x & 8x versus Barska 8x & 10x... |

I think it's a case of slightly different specs from the same OEM manufacturer...

interesting reading .. you see allot of big name stores carrying their own brand optics with very similar looks to name brand stuff, but a bit less in price ..long and short of it - the chain store doesn't manufacture the optics and had to pay somebody and the savings have to come from somewhere

I took a glance at the offerings of Barska on the SWFA site. Over 20 different choices.
It seems Barska may have a "crossover" model. It looks like a Leupold Yosemite copy,
with colored versions, wow. Don't fall for it. Leupold offers a solid warranty, and Barska??????"
I have a Yosemite, 6x30, and I like it, very nice view.

I have the Yosemite in 6x, its pretty nice. Feels a little small in the hands but not too bad.
Best way to find out is try em side by side, wont take long to figure out what you like.

Small in the hands = just right for a 9 year old boy
