I'm hoping some of you may be able to help me with a dilemma I'm having. I currently own a pair of Pentax DCF SP 10x43 binoculars that I am pretty happy with. I also own a pair of Meopta Meostar 8x42 binoculars that are still in the factory sealed package. I bought the Meoptas with the intent of selling the Pentax but am now questioning my decision. The Pentax have a few hunting scratches on them and I don't suspect I'd get more than $275 for them. They work great for the hunting I use them for which is mostly open country. I suspect I could sell the Meoptas for $700+ if I decide to get rid of them. So I guess my real question is how much better, if any, are the Meoptas over the Pentax? I'm having trouble believing the Meoptas will be that much better. Please chime in with your opinions.

All depends on how much you need the $$$. I believe the Meopta is a better bino, but if your happy with the pentex and could use the extra cash sell them.
