In the first pic 2.. just look below the point of the arrows and you will see the ears. Normally the dead give away, specially if they flick their ears for flies etc.
Kudu are known as the grey ghosts of hunting. Not for nothing.

On this pick as stated only one bull, shown up by the arrow. With the bulls it is normally the horns that give them away, specially if the sun glints off of them.

Yes, that is a kudu cow which I saw before taking the pic, as you can see the lens is pointing straight at it . The entire herd consisted of 8 cows dispersed to wide to get into one pic.
The cows were about 50yds away and one often have this type of situation in a bushveld walk and stalk. They are just about impossible to see!!

The kudu bull was on the same farm, but in a different location.
The kudu bull was about 600yds away and impossible to pick up with the naked eye. Once we picked him up with bino's, one could thereafter see him with the naked eye, knowing where to look.. or some of us could see him!!

Okay I don't feel so blind and stupid now...alright blind now.  Never saw the one in the center of the field of the first picture.  They really do disappear don't they!

Did you take the Bull?  He seems to be quite a trophy!

That was cool 8!!!   Excellent

I saw the one on the left but wasn't quite sure about the one on the right so I couldn't say two. Now that you gave us the answers it's easier to see... happy to hear it was a cow. Big Grin  Like most, I saw the one kudu in the lower pic.

They really blend into the terrain, I was waiting for you to say there were more.  Big Smile

Hope that was fun. No, I did not shoot these other then with the camera. I was on a private game reserve that do not permit hunting.

Everytime I ever spotted a kudu in South Africa it looked like photo No. 2.   I never hunted them.  I used to drive through bush like that on the way to work on the drilling rigs.  They are damn near impossible to see.

I know I'm new around here, but I would like to challenge the first photo as having two.

I say there are three.  See the red circles.
