Im sure this has been covered but i have a quick question on the Swarovski Z5. I hear Swarovski advises a 30mm tube for magnum rifles. So the z5 would not be advised for use on any magnum rifle?? Is this totally true ?? Just curious because i really like the look of the new z5 and the price but being that i shoot primarily Weatherby magnum rifles, i may have to mark the z5 off my wishlist. z6 is a little out of my price range for future buys also.

the z5 & z6 have the 4-point coil spring system they both would be fine for magnum rifles the z3 has the leaf spring system

+1 with Kelly.I just put a Z5/ BRX ret on a R5 in 308,put 160 rds in 3 sitting no problem.BRX is one of the best rets.I've ever used.Glass is super.I put it on the new Talley Tactical rings a super match.Hope SWFA have their rings in stock soon!

FYI 1981,Zerored 100 yds in 6 shots[3 touching in the 10x ring],with no adjustment I dropped down 1 hash mark & put 3 in the 10x,dropped to mildot under 1st hash mark.rang an 8"x8" plate 6 consceutive rounds.I had 4 friends shoot 2 rounds each at both the 200 & 300 yrd mark with the same result. You bet it's a fantastic scope. I even saved a few $ as I got it off the SWFA sample list. Thanks Brady
