Hello Gentleman. Gonna be strait forward here. I have recently begun learning more about rifle scopes that im not very familiar with. For years ive shut out good optics because of my dedication to Leupold.for so many years. My question is where do the Meopta Rifle scopes stack up against their other fine European optics. I see they kinda lag behind on the scope scale verses Swaro, Kahles, etc. Whats keeping them behind? and how good are they in low light verses the other euro scopes?

I would say they are comparable to Zeiss Conquest.  Maybe a little better.  Meopta actually provides all the lenses for Zeiss Conquest scopes.  I have an older model and like it a lot, good glass, good in low light.  Only thing I don't like about it is it has a very small reticle.  And its parallx seems to be set at 100 yards, 200 would be better.

Thanks supertool73. So optically its probably a step behind the Swarovski PH or CSX?

The eye relief is also alittle on the shy side in the R1 line, but I agree that the optics are equal  to the conquest line.

I've had a chance to shoot with a couple of Meopta's, guy at one of the ranges I think has three, maybe four, of them now.  I've had a couple of Swarovskis, one fixed, one variable.  I have none, now.  No direct comparison, but the Swarovskis have better glass.  However, there is not a huge difference.  There is some additional clarity with Swarovski... bang for the buck, Meopta... purist, Swarovski.
