Does anyone have any experience with Lahti Rifle Evaluator rest?

Does anyone know of a better rest for evaluating scopes and rifles?

The Lahti Rifle Evaluator is one impressive rifle rest. It is built to fit most any rifle style; steel construction, light weight and portable.

Gas spring recoil system hooks to front of bench or stake it to the ground. It will handle the recoil of up to .577 Nitro-Express. With the optional heavy magnum shock it can handle from .600 to .700 Nitro-Express.

Because this rest is used to discharge the firearm "hands off", it permits a performance evaluation that wouldn't reflect body movement. The most common human error is eliminated by the use of the hydraulic trigger release. By using the finely adjustable elevation and windage knobs to place the sight alignment at the same point on the target for each shot your group will objectively reflect the accuracy of rifle and the rounds.

Chris:

I have this rest and really like it.

I use it exclusivley scope sight in and load comparison. It won't make you a better shooter, but it's great when shooting high recoil rifles all day.

For evaluation of pistols, rifles, loads for them, and optics I really like ransom rests.
