6.5- 20X on a 70 featherweight ... it's your call, if your a Leupold fan - wouldn't a 3.5-10 or a 4.5-14 serve and fit that rifle better

I will not recommend leupold (to anyone not buying at 40% off.)  Conquest will be better glass.

And, as martin said, a 6-20 on a featherweight is not ideal, you really want something smaller (in tube length and magnification) and lighter.  From MUCH experience, I can tell you 20X is useless anywhere but on a bench - and, even then, it ain't the funnest to shoot.

What are you hunting, where, at what range, and what is your budget?  With that, we can steer you in the right direction.
Freedom is something you take.
Respect is something you earn.
Equality is something you whine about not being given.

Conquest would be a excellent fit .. or a 4200 Elite 2.5-10 ( w/rainguard to compliment the all weather nature of the stainless finish ) , or Monarch 2.5-10 . or Sightron Big Sky ..

If this is for hunting I believe you will find that rifle will feel and handle better with a scope like these:
Leupold 6x42 FX-3 Riflescope Long Range Duplex Leupold 6x42 FX-3 Riflescope
Stock # - LEU66820
  • Matte
  • Long Range Duplex
  • 1"
  • Xtended Twilight Lens System
$429.95
Zeiss 3-9x40 Conquest Rifle Scope Z-Plex Zeiss 3-9x40 Conquest Rifle Scope
Stock # - 5214609920
  • Matte
  • Z-Plex
  • 1"
  • Etched Glass
  • 2nd Plane
$399.95
Dead-Hold BDC Vortex 2-7x32 Viper Rifle Scope
Stock # - VPRM02BDC
  • Matte
  • Dead-Hold BDC
  • 1"
$169.95
I have several nice Leupolds but this current deal on this 2-7x32 Vortex with a BDC reticle is way below Vortex suggested retail so I just ordered one for one of my rifles.   You need to consider how the rifle will feel and handle. If you want a 20X scope on something think heavy barrel benchrest gun in a .223 or 22-250.  On a hunting rifle I would stay in the
4 to 16 power range at the highest and then only if you hunt from a fixed position. If you stalk game you want something around 6x max that is about all you can hand hold and get onto a deer.  There is a reason why the 3-9 x 40 scopes are on the majority of hunting rifles.  I do like the balistic reticles for extended distances but realize they only work at the highest power.  With a 6x that is not a problem and with a 2-7 you are on 7x so it is workable but high power scopes with balistic reticles are not real practical because they look dark in low light where a 6x will look very bright in low light.  Pick one of these and you will ultimately be happy hunting.
