Looking for input on best eye relief scope for my TC Omega, with magnum charge, willing to spend moderate dollars for quality scope, need up to 14-18 power.

What is moderate dollars to you?
Also, why are you looking for so high of a magnification? For a muzzleloade, I'd think you might want something with a fairly long eye relief which is a little harder to find in high magnification scopes (though certainly doable).

$500 +/- Here we have a 3 point rule on whitetail, the higher magnification comes in handy when verifying the legality of the buckdeer, and I am accustom to the higher magnification scopes as with my other rifles. One of which is the 6x18x50 AV Swarovski - which receives honorable mention.

In that price range, I'd look at Zeiss Conquest scopes. They have pretty decent eye relief.
Leupold and Sightron scopes also have eye relief longer than most of their competition.

Wouldn't a better option be to verify the legality of the target with quality bino's? Not only will you have less eye strain, but you'll also be operating in a safer manner.

The deer is already the primary target, meaning the scope is already on the deer. The majority (80% +) of the time there is not enough time to glass the deer, put the binos down, shoulder the rifle, zero in on the deer with the scope, and pull the trigger, without possibility of making noise and/or being seen. Primarily the bottomline is.. that that in my hunting situations I usually have about 10 to 30 seconds to size the deer up before the deer is across my shooting lanes at distances out to 400 yards.

If you're dead set on the high magnification also look at the Bushnell 4-16x40 Elite 4200. |
