I have a Rem. 700 .308 I am wanting to put a scope on it for Target, and Varmint
shooting. Or if , I have the fortune to make it to a 1000 yard range. I have nailed it down to 2. But ,I have never looked thru or had any experience with either one. Number 1 is the IOR2.5-10x42.
Number 2 is the Nightforce 2.5-10x32. I do know that, I want MIL/MIL.
Any info is appreciated.

Nothing wrong with your choices, I would certainly look at higher magnifications. If you want to stretch to the 600 yds and further distances, magnification to 16X or even 20x cannot hurt.
