scope is mounted securely, and it drives tacks at 50 yards--
so tonight in fading light, I went to the range and shot at 50, dead on 2 inches high. Shot at 75, dead on1.5 inches high. Backed up to 100, and I am up 7 inches high with no adjustments except ao.
suggestions?
I was not looking for world class accuracy, but I thought I could shoot better. Everything is correct in the east west plane, north is the problem.

Might not be you. Did you change magnification? 3x 6x whatever BSA is not great with having the same point of impact all the way through the magnification range. |

If God didn't want me to play with it, he'd of made my arms shorter.

Another trick is to use a bore sighter and turn the AO and look for the reticle to travel in a circle. check for similar movement with the magnification. Usually the movement is hard to see without using a bore sight.

I did change powers. Unfortunately, a bore sighter won't fit the 17 (or at least I can't find one small enough).
My next thing is to go back and shoot at 50 and without changing any settings go back to 100 yds. I will let you know! |

The Leupold Zero point magnetic boresighter is small, very accurate to rezero with. It will attach to any size barrel with under 1" bore diameter
