Ok down the road I hope to be able to outfit this rifle with the much better glass that it deserves.  But times are tight I got limited means and a hunt in Nevada come October.  I want something descent under 400 bucks in the 4-12 or 4-14 range.

Ideally I would get a vx3 LR 4.5-14 set up with a drop turret and heavy duplex from teh custom shop but that just isnt in the cards right now.

With as flat a shooting round as this is I dont need the turret or crazy reticles just some good glass that wont fog up on me.

scopes I have been considering

buckmasters 4.5-14
monarch 3-12
redfield revolution 4-12
vx2 4-12x50 ( this is stretching the budget and I am not sure about big bells as I never have had one I also will probably disqualify it if it wont work in talley LW medium mounts)

Ok so I dont think anything above comes from red china as this is kinda important to me for what ever it is worth.

I am open to suggestion and this scope will eventually be passed down to a coyote rifle or something along those lines.

Again I just want a good clear bright picture dont need lots of bells and whistles

Either one of the above scopes would be great for your purpose. Kenton even makes speed dials for the Viper that would do speed dials that would make it ultra quick in the field.

This is from an earlier thread:

As of now, I have designed and built a recoil simulator and have sent the patent info in for publication. I can simulate up to 260 lbs/ft of recoil, muzzle lift, reverse recoil, both for and aft recoil. Some of the scopes that I felt wouldn't impress have really impressed me. At 75 lbs/ft recoil with 2.2" of travel in 21 milliseconds. I have a Vortex Viper 3-9 that has taken over 2200 simulations and still hasn't failed. I have a 3-9 Diamondback that failed after 1500+ recoils and was fixed and returned in 9 days without question.

They will all fail, just a matter of when:

Sightron SII Big Sky 4-16X42... 1630 impacts........erector screw.. had loctite put on the screw and it's over 1200 impacts for the second time around.
Sightron SII Big Sky 3-9X42... 1260 impacts.........erector assy
SIII.............3.5-10X56...... 1571 impacts
Conquest................ 3-9X40..1056 impacts
Conquest ................4.5-14X44...996 impacts
 VXII............ 2-7X33.....66 impacts.erector assy failure...Fixed and went 1077 impacts
 VXIII............3.5-10X40..521 impacts
Nikon Monarch........... 3-12X42.. 336 impacts

Just wanted to give you some facts on the Viper scopes.

I will tell you that I got rid of a 1.75-6x32 VX-III and replaced it with a 2-7x32 Viper. I'm not sorry I did.

That being said, you say you want a bright crisp picture w/o the bells and whistles?  Then I'd go with a 3-9x40 Zeiss Conquest.

as far as your list goes the viper is better optically than all of them, the monarch would be the only close competitor and their cs dept is spotty at best.
vortex is the real deal.

Plus I doubt I would get that burris since it has the ballistic plex not a fan

Unless something has recently changed, the Vipers I've seen said "Made in Philippines" on them, but the glass evidently comes from Japan.

I believe the Crossfire is made in China, as is their lower end binoculars.  With the exception of some Viper scopes made in the Philippines, their high end products (mostly items with "Razor" and "Viper" in the series name) are all made in Japan.
