I just read this;
British sniper takes out Taliban rebel at over 2700 yds with
AW .338 Lapua in Afganistan breaking the Canadian sniper's .50 BMG shot by almost 100 yds.

That's what they call "shoot'n them out where the dandy lions grow".
I like to measure powder by the cup.

Its been on the news. there is short passage on it in American  Rifleman.  He shot 2 right next to each other. I thougth it was a Accuracy Internatial 50BMG tho. It might have been a different caliber, I cant remember.

dunno, the bullet is going to out run sound , then the bullet goes subsonic then sound is going to catch up. lol  even if they did they prob didnt realize the bullets were coming their way.

The second guy might have heard the first one get shot! Speed of sound is 1125 fps so at 8100 feet that would be about 7 seconds.

That vedeo was on the History channel back about 3 months ago.What helped him was using good old USA ammo!
