I inherited a scope from my father when he passed and need to know some info on it. It is a Swarovski-Optik Tirol Habicht 8x56 Nova. I like the scope alot, but would like to put something different on this rifle. I don't know when the scope was made, but I know he bought it in the early '90's. Any info would help. I would like to sell it and replace it with something else, but cannot find much online about this particular scope.
Thanks for the help.

I've never owned a swarovski, I've looked through some
and believe me I want one, as far as I know it's a scope
made by swarovski, kinda like the monarch for nikon except
on a very high end  playing field....I don't know what kind of
scope you want but if you get a fair price out of the swarvo
you'll probably be able to buy a nice scope with change left over.
If I was you I'd hang on to it, unless  you wanted to
sell it to me..........but i probably couldn't afford it anyways...
I'd say it may be worth $700 to $800 or more in good used cond..
I'm not sure it has the same warranty as the others????I aint sure..
slow is smooth, smooth is fast. right?

You may be able to just trade it in toward what you want.  I have no idea what it is worth but it doesnt hurt to ask.

There was a variable 2.2-?x Habicht Nova in 'Demo C' shape that was on the sample list a couple of months back... seems it sold for around $450, but don't remember exactly.
Talk to SWFA.
