Anyone had any experience with a Konus Pro Plus 3-10x44 illum? I just picked one up and it sure looks like a good product for the money upon visual inspection.

Konus is sending me one of their M30 models for review. I should have a first look at it when I get back home next week.

I just mounted and zeroed on a prototype AR we are testing for endurance, the AR bolt carrier slam seem to be fairly hard on scopes so figured I'd test this scope too while we're burning up ammo...........................
Observations:
Zeroed with no issues.
Seems pretty clear, better than a Simmons for less money (probably $130. street price).
Focused very sharp for my eyes.
Positive clicks.
I really like the heavier than normal reticle and the design of it.
Solid but lightweight.
I like the 44mm front lens, which I consider ideal for an all around hunting scope.
Red illum is very crisp and does not flare even though it's almost too bright at lowest setting. Don't know why some mfg make the illum so bright???? Hey out there, illum is for low light not for daytime use.................
I have no use for the blue illum and it flares even on the lowest setting.
If it holds up and holds zero over time this may be a "sleeper" low light scope????
Will advise how it performs............

I had a Konus on a rifle I traded off. It was pretty decent actually. Mine was a fixed power model that held zero and was pretty clear. http://www.konusscopes.com/product/KON7262 Sorry for the off site link. I'm not hawking their products, just showing what I had. Buy from SWFA when you can. Having said all of the above, the Burris Timberline is a lot better scope. If you budget is really really tight, Konus is a step above Barska, BSA, and NC Star. |

If God didn't want me to play with it, he'd of made my arms shorter.

Just wish to say I own a M30 4.5-16X40 Konus scope..use it on a Savage 10FP in .308. Great scope, well worth the money for the budget minded when money for glass is tight.
