Hey folks, first post here, and I have a simple question. I have the opportunity to get a pair of Sightron SIII 8x42 binoculars for a steal (<$200). I don't have much experience with binos, so how will they compare with Nikon Monarchs? My ground hog shootin buddy has a pair of the Nikons, 10x40 I think, and to me they are very clear.
I've had Sightron rifle scopes in the past, and thouroughly enjoyed them, so I have confidence in the company.
I don't currently have any binos, so when we hunt, we use his, or I use my scope on lower power to glass fields.
Thanks

This seems like a good buy to me, especially since you don't have a pair of bino's. Sightron makes great products and I'm sure the bino's in question will be decent.

Quick follow-up:
Got the SIIIs today and they seem great. I can pick out individual drops of dew in yards across the street. They definately seem as nice as the Nikon Monarchs. Hope to hunt with them this weekend.
