Bobro Engineering designs and produces small arms related equipment featuring advanced mechanical engineering. All engineering and prototype processes are performed in house at Bobro's state of the art manufacturing facility. Bobro Engineering utilizes full CNC machinery and possesses metal coating and finishing equipment.

It features the patent pending BLAC™lever system which requires no manual adjustment to attain a proper, rock solid engagement on a 1913 Picatinny rail. Bobro Single Cantilever 30mm Mount $149.95 The Aimpoint Cantilever - 180 mount provides a lower 1/3rd co-witness when mounted on the AR15/M16 weapon platform. It features the patent pending BLAC lever system which requires no manual adjustment to attain a proper, rock solid engagement on a 1913 Picatinny rail. Bobro Trijicon Acog Mount $129.95 Bobro Vertical Grip $74.95 •Short The FGA SACL portion is machined from a polymer (Delrin). The fasteners and index pin are phosphated to Mil Spec STD 171. The FGA was not designed for the waterproof storage of articles, but items can be stowed inside the central core. The FGA’s primary mission is to be used as a front grip, and not to store batteries etc. The FGA was designed for rapid on/off with a solid interface that could withstand the massive heat generated by modern small arms. The aluminum rail interface eliminates the compression set and subsequent loosening problems associated with a plastic coupling. The FGA is not rail sensitive, meaning that the FGA can be installed on any rail within specification (Mil-Std 1913). Details on the locking mechanism, if you please?
Or, just send me a BOBB01180300 to abuse and I'll report back. |

When we get our order in i'll send one your way. Here is some info... BLAC (BOBRO LEVER, AUTO COMPENSATION) The BLAC system (Patent Pending) is designed to lock securely to any Mil-Std 1913 rail without adjustment To operate, simply depress the safety arm and lift the main lever 90 degrees. Rotate the mount onto the rail so that the mechanical index sets into the desired cross-slots. Depress the main lever fully until the safety arm snaps back into position. Attempt to lift the main lever (without depressing the safety) to ensure that the BLAC is fully engaged. It's that simple. For optical mounts with rings- The ring is secured via 12 point internal drive nuts. Tighten the nuts so that the ring gaps are even. Bobro recommends that the provided threadlocker (Loctite 222MS) is used for assembly. IMPORTANT- The BLAC lever system only gets better with time and usage, don't be hesitant to practice rapid on/off drills etc. The BLAC system can also be run 100% dry (no lubricants) if necessary. |

BLAC- BOBRO LEVER, AUTO COMPENSATION - PATENT PENDING
Bobro wrote the desired features and designed a system to fulfill all the listed criteria.
1- Must be compatible with any 1913 Specification Rail, to include systems that are out of specification (within reason) and this includes Weaver rails. 2- Must be completely tool and user adjustable free. It needs to be 100% self contained and mate securely to any rail without the user having to tailor the pressure/engagement position. 3- Must lock with enough pressure to positively attach any device or optical instrument to a rail without movement, static or dynamic forces not withstanding. 4- The rail must not experience any deformation due to user error. This must include synthetic (plastic/polymer/composite) rail systems. 5- Auto Index capability. The device must also index parallel to the bore. The unit must always repeat the forward shift (recoil forces direction of influence) not only to maximize zero repeatability, but to take this step of installation out of the users initial mounting sequence. Index must be redundant. 6- Unit must not "shoot loose" due to improper mounting or a mechanical "bottoming out". 7- The system must incorprate a safety that prevents the lever from being accidentally opened. The safety must be able to be manipulated in conjunction with the lever rotation, so that only one hand is required to open it. 8- The unit will utilize constant force to ensure required pressure in all conditions. The force must be substantial to prevent any shift forward/aft left/right. 9- The pressure must be applied in a linear direction centered in the main body to prevent "cocking" of the mount. 10- It must be easy to manipulate by gloved or fatigued hands. 11- It must be extremely robust, and withstand shock and impact to the system housing. 12- There were others, but by listing them we would compromise our trade secrets. |

Isn't their cam lock very similar to the one GGG uses on their cam lever lock style mounts? I seem to recall Bobro had a fixed dovetailed side and a moving dovetail with rod attached to the cam just like GGG's design, except with a different design variation on the cam lever itself. |

No similarities to the GG&G. THE GG&G has the moving dovetail rod with side attached. The Bobro doesn't have a moving dovetail rod. Pictures explain better than words... Top two pics the GG&G. Bottom two the Bobro.

I have played with a Bobro mount on a GRSC scope a while back.
I was very impressed and liked it more than my Larue risers. ILya

Is that a plastic "cover" on the top ring half? Either that, or the bolts thread in from the bottom, which would be tricky.
If you send one my way, I'll wring it out on an M4 and let you know what I think. it will be compared to LaRue 150 and 152. |

Slick looking. Not sure how well it will go trying to get a nut started as it fits in the recessed housing. Screws are lost easily enough the way it is.

That sound interesting, maybe a bit more challenging to mount, but sure looks nice with the ring half unobstructed.

Given how nicely executed everything appears to be, I don't understand why they didn't just machine the lower ring halves integral with the base like the GGG unit. It would make for a theoretically stronger design with better ring to base alignment. |
