I was curious about the Hornady Superformance ammo, so I bought a box. 308, 165 gr. SST. $27. Shot some this morning. It was snowing just a little. Chronographed 4 rounds right at 2700 fps at 7 yards out of a 20" barrel. That's right at the velocity this gun gets with Rem. 150 gr. corelokt factory ammo in warmer weather. Shot a 3-shot, .7" group at 117 yards off sandbags across the hood of my pickup. This rifle shoots pretty well, but I don't ever shoot it much better than that. I got two boxes for my .30-06. 165 grain as well and claims 2950 I think. I also got some winchester elite that claims 2750 with 180 grain bullets. They are steel cased instead of brass
