What is the difference between the not too old Legend, and the improved Trophy XLT?
I am seeking a low priced scope for my .22WMR, close to 4-12x with AO, and know that the XLT has fully multi coated lenses. But a few places have the Legend left overs, which also have full multi coats. I found a Legend 5-15x for $113, and here at SWFA the Trophy XLT is a shade under $150. I am not worried about the price difference too much, I am wondering why Bushnell dropped the Legend line. BTW, I will use the .22wmr mainly for paper punching, but will do squirrels and other suitable small game. |

I think it truly sucks that they dropped the legend. Probably the best scope you can buy in its price range.

Although I haven't compared the Legend and Trophy XLT,if you want to save a few bucks,I don't think you'd be disappointed in the Legend at all.

After going out to the Bushnell website, it looks like the Trophy XLT replaced the Legend. The description is almost identical to what they had on there for the Legend with the exception that you get butler creek scope caps with the XLT. Even the light transmission is the same at 91%.

I love my Legend as well. To my eyes it is pretty dang close to my 4200s.
