Ok, so i got the rifle (7005R), I got the scope (SS10x42). I have been very pleased. We are having a blast with this long distance shooting. But I have a problem. I CAN'T see the targets after the shot, we are using a cheap Bushnell spotter. I am ready to pull the trigger on a decent spotter. I need some opinions on differet models and price points. Thanks in advance!!

What what distances are you shooting?
Freedom is something you take.
Respect is something you earn.
Equality is something you whine about not being given.

Shooting to a max of 1000 yards, but of the time will be 300-600 yards. I want to be able to see bullet holes in target. Thanks

How bad do you want to see bullit holes at 600 yds and what size bullit hole do you want to see?
On the low end a Pentax 20-60X80 ED MAY reliably show the bullit holes at 300 yds depending on the atmospheric conditions, and your looking in the neighborhood of $1,100. Under ideal conditions you may see holes at 600 yds.
If you absolutely have to see 223 bullit holes at 600 yds in most conditions then you need to look at the alpha scopes such as the top end Zeiss, Swarofski, or Leicia scopes.
A compromise may be the Vortex Razor at about $1,500.00. Just depends on your budget.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.
