Is there any real difference between the two besides the 2.5-10 having greater magnification range and better F.O.V. at similar magnifications to the 3-9???

3-9x40 has a little more eyerelief as well as being a bit smaller and lighter.

I think the 2.5 has less eye relief but the image or view seems a little larger to me. Im not talking just the Field of view, I think the actual sight picture (image) seems a little larger to me.
