I have a 20+ year-old Burris 3X9 Fullfield scope on my Remington 700 LH 7 MM Magnum and need a little help.

This particular scope has the distance indicator below the crosshairs that adjusts up & down to sight on a Deer's brisket (I haven't a clue what the proper terminology for this feature is).

I don't have a manual for the scope and the adjusting ring has always been very difficult to turn. It's now darn near impossible.

Is there any way to loosen it to allow easier adjustment?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

some WD-40 worked well on loosening a stiff AO ring for me, have you tried that? Spray and turn, spray and turn.

Actually, I haven't tried anything.
The darned thing was stiff from the git-go and gets worse in the cold.

I thought there may be an external adjustment I should make.

Thanks for the quick reply. It is appreciated.

BTW, any idea where I can get a manual?

Tx again,
Bob

Try warming it up with a hair dryer, sometimes the grease inside dries up, and applied heat softens it.

 Sometimes.

 Worth a shot, anyway...
