I am liking what I see with the SWFA S.S. 10x42 but I am questioning the ease of acquiring a moving coyote or pig, which is what I plan to hunt. The price is good for my budget. Any input will be greatly appreciated!!

I would not recommend a fixed 10x scope for hunting. I would look at a
variable with around a 2 or 3x bottom end. Bushnell, Nikon, Leupold,
Vortex, Zeiss, al have many scopes that would fit the bill.
Personally I would look at a Bushnell 4200 3-9x Here is one on my 6.8. |

Right on I'll check it out. I heard they were pretty much equal to the Nikon Monarch or even the Vortex. What magnification on your Bushnell do you usually use to hunt them?

I always keep it on 3x and then if it is a longer shot and I have time I will turn it up to something else.

If you were looking at the 10x SS, why not look at the 3-9x FFP?

If you are looking for a variable scope for ~$300, your best options are the Elite 4200 mentioned above, Vortex Viper 3-9x40 and Weaver Grand Slam 3-10x40.
All three are very good and give you a fair amount of flexibility. ILya
