i know this is going to sound odd, but im looking for a new watch. i want a nice watch, something more "dressy" i dont wanna spend a ton of money though, $500 max. i prefer metal banded watches, and of course im not wanting a digital anything. something like a bulova or seiko or tissot. wish i could afford a tag or an omega, cant touch a rolex.

+1 on Luminox.

I have 3 different models, the dress one I have looks and performs like a watch that cost well over $500.00

Luminox repaired my Seal  watch (black one) for free when i was in a scuffle at my last job and it was broke/shattered on the ground.  FREE.  Watch was over 5 years old when it happened. been going for 5 years since.  no worries

I don't know a lot about watches.  Just started wearing one.  Took a while to get used to, but it comes in handy when wondering what time it is.Big Smile
Here's a picture I found of mine.

i dont either, but it looks sorta tacky around the right crowd to dig in your pocket to see what time the phone says it is. ive always wanted a nice watch, which is the main reason im looking for one now. figured it would be a nice 30th birthday present for me in may.

I only use timex because every time I would make an arrest and had to struggle with them the dam watch would get broke.   I had a SAKO once that was a nice watch.

When my wife got done with her nursing program and got a job, she bought me a watch out of her very first paycheck.  As far as I am concerned, this is the best watch in the world:
