Has anybody ever used an E.R. Shaw replacement barrel? If so how did it do? I have been doing some research online, and they are considerably cheaper than other barrel makers. Just wondering if the price difference is worth it. BTW, I am shopping for a Pre-fit Savage barrel.
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

I have not. But they would be the first place I would check if I wanted to re-barrel something.   I always read good stuff about E R Shaw....

Most of the guys over on the Savage site use Shilen or Mcgowan a few Benchmark not too many using shaw's I don't know why not. They also don't use to many Duglass's.

Got a friend whose lived within 15mins of Shaw all his life.  He does ALOT of shooting and has been around others who use Shaw bbls.  He speaks highly of their bbls and their work/service.
