ss depend alot it they have just extractors or ejectors, this also affects the cost, older Browinings ss are an excellent buy around 1k. 101 winchesters are very common and also vary a lot in price depending on condition and year of manufacture. ss don't get anywhere near the play as o/u because they are not used in skeet or trap, so a well established secondary market doesn't exist. If you like them , and its a fun thing goferit. However its hard to get excited about an old double when there are beautiful Kreighoffs, and Perazzis floating around at bargin prices-- (about $8k these days). Heres a nice Browning Golden Clays for about 1/3 of that. I have a four gun set Rizzini collection if your interested.

" Well, thanks, Dale.....I was thinking of something a little more down to earth, however......A four gun set of Rizzinis right now would probably mess up my budget..."

They have got two 101s over there I think.....one is a skeet and skeet....real fancy!!!....$2300 ........and then there is one for $895 ....a field gun ....like, full and mod or something..nice looking...clean.
A couple of Superposed....one extra expensive and one priced at $995 but even the cheap one is skeet/skeet.
I am interested, like you said, just for fun and for shooting and for polishing it up!! I really like the SxS....but, they all look like fun!!
