Extra credit if you can name the team....

If you call your shotgun a "shottie"....what do you call your pistol?

I went with late second.  I think he'll be the 5th cube taken....behind Bradford, Clausen, McCoy, and Pike.  He's been working on his release...but he is a project, so he'll probably go to a good team with an established starter.  That needs (wants) a QB/wildcat QB/H-back/tight end.

Tim is too much the exact thing that NFL wants. He's a HOSS, with some pretty good abilities, and tough. He will go 1st round, and probably early.

OK, first off, I like Tim Tebow and he is a HOSS... But Meyers lied to the boy.  I know this is going to sound nuts but at least think about what I'm saying.  This year there are many better NFL style QBs coming out of college. Bradford, Clausen, and Texas's own McCoy.  So those guys WILL go before Tim! They are ALL better prepared QBs style wise.  The two main colleges Tim was looking at was Florida and my own Crimson Tide.  Had he pick the Tide he would have been in a pro set all through college giving him a leg up so to speak.  That was not the case at Florida, and that's is why he is so unprepared now.  He has to tweak his pass motion, he has to relearn a three step drop and he needs to get more comfortable UNDER center.  Now lets look at Tim's biggest strength, his LEADERSHIP  ability.  What team has lost a huge team leader?  Arizona, ergo I say second round to Arizona. He should have gone to Alabama under Shula and Saban, He would have been ready for the NFL and not playing catch up.  But his work ethic and grit will overcome that, I think.

I still like the kid as a Football player and as a person.
Roll Tide!!!!

Steelbenz makes a good point.  Tebow struggled to take snaps from under center and his release is too long.  I think he will end up being a good player, but he'll need a few years to develop.  Whoever picks him likely won't be planning on starting him any time soon.

I think that Florida lacked in O-Line. Any QB would have had a difficult time at best. Tebow because of his size and ability to take a hit was a good fit as a QB in that system. Give him an O-Line and his comfort under center will improve greatly. Bottom line, no Tebow, No chance for SEC Championship. That will be a HUGE determining factor in the draft.

Tim isn't bad, but I don't think he will play QB starting out, but hell, I could be wrong. I still think McCoy is a better QB, and if he gains 25 30 lbs, he will be perfect size for a NFL QB.

No the likelihood that he starts is remote. That said, how long did Favre sit on the bench?

I was actually thinking he wouldn't even play QB...maybe a TE or maybe even a DE with his speed, but thats very unlikely

I am curious as to what happens in Pittsburgh with Big Ben. They are big on drafting CHARACTER guys and Ben is pooping on them.

He seems like a good kid and I wish all the hype hadn't been a distraction.

If he falls into round 4, and he might. Look for the Steelers to take him.
