The first thing I thought when I saw the 110 BA was that it would not look right without a NF scope, so now I would be up to over 4K. It is a very tempting "off the shelf" 338 Lapua, though.

as far as i know the .338 lapua does hold the record for the longest ever recorded sniper kill. but really how do you deny the .50bmg as being the bad boy?

I know many people love the .338 Lapua , but has anyone ever shot a .338 RUM, man for the money those RUM give a lot of bang for the buck.

I am told the release date is closer to July or August, What I like about it is the 1:9 twist factory barrel and I am told 5,000+ rounds 335-350gr/300gr/245-250gr/160-162gr of T.Carbide and Bronze where shot through it without burning out or wearing too bad/much which is saying a lot.  I am excited to see performance vs. some others...  For $1650 sell for price nothing comes close.   I have spent more than half that on barrels with a 1:9 twist in .338LM... Can't wait to get one...

Let's add to the confusion/excitement  I am told they are thinking .408 CT Ooooohhhhh.......

I'm still waiting for the 111 Long Range Hunter in the 6.5-284 Norma (w/AccuTrig, AccuStock and adjustable cheek rest all incld.) @ less than half the price; then spend a grand or so on scope, Badger rings, base, & FTE muz brake, and a slick camo paint and you can take just about anything in N. America...and at ranges most aren't capable of hitting anyway.  But then we all have our dream weapon! :)

IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE A DEALER BY YOU THAT ORDERED THESE AT SHOT THEY HAVE JUST RECEIVED THEM DUE TO THEIR PRE-ORDER.

I would love to pick one of these up for around $1650-$1700 if you know a dealer who did.

PM if you get one in your hand or know someone or a dealer that has one in stock...

Specifically I am interested in the 1:9 twist barrel...  ( a package like this for the price is pretty impressive)...

They are not saying when the bulk of the production is going to be released...

Again bottom line is that the dealers who pre-ordered at shot have received the first batch and I have already been told they are everything they were built up to be... Accuracy with CNC lathe turned bullets was 1/4MOA at 500yrds with factory 300's or GB528's 1/2MOA... pretty impressive...

.338-378 Wby is faster, and still not the baddest.
