The more I think about this Yakak, the more I think I might pick up a z3 3-9x36 myself.  They are a pretty penny but I think they would be worth it.  Not really anything to dislike about the Swaro, the eye relief is shorter... they list it at 3.54 in.

You can pick up a Swaro AV a lot cheaper than a Z3....I don't know if they have been discontinued or what, but I don't believe the Z3's are any better optically.

badgerRed,

Some how I can justify an extra $500.00 to buy the Z3.  Although, I have a hard time springing an extra $1300 for the Z6.

According to their CS Dept, they're the same glass.

Yes I agree with you Yakak.  The 2.5-10 Summit is another one that is just too darn expensive for me.  Good luck on your search.  I have heard the same things about the glass/coatings in the Z3/AH being the same.   Although I do like the new "looks" of the Z3.

The Z3 is just a cosmetically updated AV scope with a new name that goes along with the naming convention Swaro started with the Z6 to denote the zoom ratio.  So now, they have the Z6, Z5, and Z3, which makes me wonder if they will keep the same name for the "PH" line or call it "Z4."
