to a Tikka T3 Laminated SS Big Grin.....Thanks guys for the debates, now I'f I can only find out the ring problem Tikka has that was posted in my debate between this one and the Remy Sendero... Let me know what those rings were, and a great brand to replace them with. Thanks!

I said that, and it was due to much personal experience.

I forget your caliber choice, but if it is anything with any recoil, toss the rings and buy Talley; they make a ring/base combo that screws into the receiver rather than onto the rail - I prefer that.

If your caliber has no appreciable recoil, the rings are fine.

The rings are a stamped aluminum with a steel post as a recoil lug.  If the gun has significant recoil, the post will rip through the aluminum ring and all hell ensues.

Tikka makes the best deal going in rifles, and the only complaint is the rings (some complain about the plastic mag and bottom metal on the T3s, but I've never had an issue with either. In the Glock world, plastic gets a little more respect.

I'm going with the 7mm RM. and so it was scope rings then? I plan on putting that conquest 4.5-14X50 on it.

I want to run as low as possible with a 50mm objective lens, and with the butler creek lens caps.

Which ring you cotton to, Mike?
I'd guess the mediums would suit you, but if you let me know which ring you'd like, I can call Talley and ask for you.
