These "new" shot show specials are now up on the Browning website. I'm a sucker for single shots with an 1885 Low Wall and Ruger #1. Other than being rather heavy, they look sweet. Anybody with prior experience on B78's? I'm interested in the .300 WM. Being a falling block, how does it differ from the 1885's? Any feedback would be welcomed. Thanks all.

It's a good rifle, equivalent to the #1 quality-wise. I too am a falling block fan. The Browning B78 and Winchester / Browning 1885 are stylish, well-made, nicely balanced rifles. A buddy of mine has one in .25-06 that he's taken a truckload of critters with. It's his favorite deer rifle. His is quite accurate.
