Is it just me or does my Colt C-more not want to keep sighted in properly. It is on a M-4 platform with C more's mount. I'll sight it in put it back in the safe carefully, and six months later pull it out and it's off again! I love the sight for speed but annoyed with the problem. Please do not tell me about aimpoints etc, I own them too. And yes the mount is snug like it is suppose to be. It's kept in the safe where the temp stays about 70, low humidity.

I have heard of C-More sights drifting slightly over time, but I have not witnessed it myself and not from just sitting in the safe.
How much off is it? ILya

How big is the dot?
At what range has it shifted 1 inch? |

For a non-magnifying sight a 1inch shift at reasonable ranges does not sound like a big deal and can probably be caused my minute changes in your head position.
Perhaps, there is simply some uncorrected parallax in it. ILya

That's what I was thinking.
A dot that covers 3 inches at 100 yards will not produce subMOA groups, at least mine never have. A 1 inch jump isn't much. If you want more precision, it'll probably take a different optic. Unless I am missing something. |
