All right guys!  Thanks for all the input concerning the XHR.  It just doesn't make sense to go that route at a premium price.  I

I have located a Remy SPS SS in 300 WM for $589.99.
Who out there has a SPS and how is the stock on it.
Is it flexible like the cheaper Savages?

This price looks excellent to me so let me get
you opinions on the SPS stock.

Thanks in advance   Thunbs Up

Sps stock is very light weight, i had one on a 7mm Magnum and the recoil was hell.
Changed it for a laminated stock.

So the low end SPS is similar to the old non Accu synth.  I have seen SPS with hogues.

Great just spoiled that idea!

Alright then, I will just wait and get the Savage long range hunter in300 WM when it comes out!  MSRP ~950 but discounters are saying Mid $700.  Thats a no brainer,  Accu-trigger, accu-stock, bull barrel weight around 8.5lb.  I am ordering the SS variable scope to start with!

Just following up to my last post...I wouldn't quote me on this one but I have heard or read somewhere that recently (as in the last 2 years) Remington upgraded the SPS varmint stock to make it less flexible...will post the reference if I find it.

There's some (Scottish?) bloke on Youtube (username: wildernesseducation) who has a set of videos where he beds the action and free floats the barrel using the factory SPS varmint stock.
