I have a PECAR Berlin Scope that is fitted on my Sako Forester. This
past spring I managed to leave the windage/elevation caps at the
range. Lost forever. Pecar is out of business and I have had no luck in
finding replacement caps (ebay/gunbroker, etc.).
Any advice on what I can use to cover the windage/elevation dials? Currently I am just wrapping that section with some electrician's tape. I am hoping that some other brand of scope may have similar threaded caps. Thanks |

I tried to locate some Pecar caps for another forum member a while back, with no luck. Look in the scrap scope boxes at some pawn/gunshops. Sometimes you may find a Tasco or Bushnell set of caps that will work. All manufacturers have some commonality between different sizes. Pecar is no different, it just may take you a while to find a set that fits.
Also look in some bins at flea markets where used scopes might be sold.

Hate to say it but I think your screwed, might be time to think about a new scope the new glass has very different coatings and is really nice. Good Luck the Holy Grail is out there somewhere.

Go to wallyworld and look at the scopes there and see if the sizes match, if they look similar get one take the caps to see if they fit and then if they do call that company and order caps and carry the other one back to walmart.- I have done this personally for something else.
