Gentlemen

I want to get a scope for my shotgun. Does anyone know what scope mounts on the SWFA site will fit on the Winchester SX3?

Thank you

No but if you call SWFA they should have a chart.  Other than that you could look on different manufactureres sites for one that matches that model.  You may wind up having to have a gunsmith drill and tap it and install a base.   Is this a slug gun?

The SX3 rifled barrel has an integral Weaver canitlevered base ... Is this what you're dicscussing ? If so , any quality Weaver style mount would work . I'd go with a name brand steel mount like Leupold ,WArne, Burris or Weaver . Height would depend on which optic you're using .

Yeah that was the question, what style of base should I get for the SX3?

I want to try it with a scope on it, not red dot, just some decent scope for fox hunting at night (its legal where I live). Can you guys recommend some decent starters combo (scope+mounts) for my shotgun?

Regards

OK  =  so what you have is a SX3 Winchester slug gun which already has the base which is a cantalever Weaver style base.  So you do not need a base correct.  What you need is rings.  So use Warne rings and any of the scopes I listed above would work with Low rings be sure you select 30mm or 1 inch depending on which scope you choose.

To try? I would go with the Bushnell Trophy and if it turned out you liked the scope on it I would then move up to a higher end at that time but to try i would just go with the trophy and Warne rings.

SVT  that is good advice  with the huge price difference going here.  I have one of those Trophy scopes on a mini  14 and it works well for coyotes.
