My Zeiss Conquest 4x32 w/Zplex reticle just arrived and I mounted it on the .458 Lott.  I must say it was awfully nice of Chris and the SWFA crew to "pre-boresight" it for me.  I tightened all the screws down, set up the mechanical boresighter, and didn't make a single adjustment.  Just like it had always been there.  Now THAT'S service...
(how'd they do that?????)

So, I figure they must have zeroed it for me, too.  I'm going hunting without ever firing a shot for zero.  Some things are just meant to be...

I stomped around the woods for a while this afternoon, not really hunting but proving a point to myself.  The low light capability of the scope is excellent and I should have left a scope on the Lott or gotten a new one for it, long ago.  I love the iron, but there is no way to compete with the shooting time extension that scope provides.

Nice addition, Dan!  I have a Conquest 4X as well, and I love it!  Great scope!

Hey Dan, that Lott looks mighty purdy with the Zeiss mounted!!!

I have about another month of intensive whitetail hunting left, then I'll be back to playing with my Lott at the range. For now I'm carrying the 375H&H around the ranch, but I have yet to find an exceptional deer, muley or whitetail. Dadgummit!

Enjoy the new scope!

Thank you... I am liking the looks better and better.  I had hoped to keep the Lott iron sighted, but it just isn't working out well for deer hunting in this area.  With the Ruger rings, I can always easily go back to iron sights when I want to.

I have until the end of January for whitetails as well.  I have passed on 4 deer due to not being able to see the front sight (one the day before the 4x arrived).  I really liked my 4x Pentax, which is on the .458WinMag, but I am pretty sure when I knocked the elevation turret almost off, I ruined the scope.  Have some testing to do with it before it goes in the "shoot it" pile, though.

Intended to confirm zero on the scope today, but the rain is very heavy and unrelenting.  I'm not that dedicated right now.  Besides that, SWFA sent it already boresighted and zeroed, anyway...

Even though the 4x Conquest came pre-boresighted from SWFA (seriously, I did not have to make a single click to have a "dead on" boresight), I decided to go ahead and zero it today.  Glad I did.  At 100 yards, it was 4in low and 3/4in right 1st shot.  The next 3 were in a .6in hole, dead center.
I really like the scope, the glass is better than I remember Conquest glass, but still have regrets about going away from the irons.
